Matters of taste
Last month our members worked to the writing prompt “I don’t want to fail because other people have terrible taste”. This delivered some diverse pieces starting with an awkward interview with a footballer moments after missing a kick that would have won a high-profile match, a call centre stuffed with bad ideas and a psychiatrist dealing with a synesthetic patient.
Stephen brought a longer piece to the table. His work introduced to a busker with dreams of making it in the music industry and the marketing team that would make it happen… at a price.
Finally, Emma brought in the seeds of a larger piece (possibly) where a travelling actor deals with bad reviews in a grisly manner.
Next month promises a whole other kind of challenge as we enter different territory entirely: childrens stories.
